Gepetto's Cottage

Back to My Mini Projects Gallery
Ever fallen hopelessly in love?   I did when I saw this house...

The American magazine Dollhouse Miniatures featured a picture of a cottage on its front cover - "Goldilocks Cottage" by the American miniaturist Rik Pierce and "dressed" by Bluette Meloney.
I loved the angled walls and steep roof so, using the photos as a starting point, I tried to make my own version of it...
Doesn't have quite the artistry of the original but I was thrilled with it.
The windows of my version have fake diamond pane windows

At some later stage I will smother the walls with ivy but until I have a punch to do it, it will have to wait!

Gepetto at work on his little Pinocchio - the marionette's strings need re-doing as they are more like rope!  I am adding to this cottage all the time.

A big Thank You to Mr. Pierce for his inspiration!

The garden has
crazy-paving front and back...
